Build it Right — The First Time
Our Sustainable Building Methodology™ encapsulates three key areas to create a green building.
Beyond building the highest quality home possible (which we do), we also believe that the energy problem must be solved. After a home or office is created, it uses energy for the rest of its life-span. If it isn’t well thought out up front, then the use of that energy—not to mention ongoing cost of ownership—will be much greater than it has to be. Our Sustainable Building Methodology™ encapsulates the critical areas needed to make your project successful.
A Structure Lives and Breathes
Sure, it’s great to put solar on your roof (we do that), and it’s great to leverage a bamboo flooring product or recycled wood (we do that also), but each of those elements can’t be looked at in isolation—which is often the case. A house IS a living, breathing system involving furnaces, water heaters, clean air systems, lighting, and so on. What if all these systems could be leveraged for a better, more holistic system? The net benefit will be an even greater energy savings combined with greater appreciation on the value of your home. This is what we’re focused on. We leverage three key practice areas to make the “house as a system” a reality.
For every $1 in energy savings created annually, the value of that home increases by $20. (Source: Appraisal Journal, October 1998)
